A bit about Robert….

Robert Crowther is a highly acclaimed and innovative author and illustrator, renowned for his interactive pop-up contributions to children’s literature. With a career spanning over 40 books, produced with Penguin Books and Walker Books, Robert has left a lasting impression on readers young and old, in the world of interactive and educational books. His first book, ‘The Most Amazing Hide-and-Seek Alphabet Book’, reached No. 1 in the Children’s bestseller list. Other titles include, House of Inventions, Pop goes the Weasel, All the Fun of the Fair and a series on Transportation,.

His unique style and creativity are clear in his meticulously designed pop-up books, which captivate the imagination of children and adults alike. Robert’s commitment to creating engaging, hands-on reading experiences has made him a well-respected figure in the realm of children’s publishing.

Painting was his first love when attending Leeds College of Art foundation course but following courses at Norwich School of Art and Royal College of Art in graphic design, his career led to freelance work with Madame Tussaud’s and The London Planetarium.

Following a move to Cornwall in 2013, Robert has continued with some book work for renowned Cornish publisher Mabecron Books most notably Pop-Up Cornwall

Most recently Robert has returned to his love of painting and completed commissions for Launceston Leisure Centre, other local businesses and private requests.
